Mirdif Food Court was the second solo area I had the opportunity to design. The clients envisioned a matinee-themed space, drawing inspiration from classic cinema. Given its proximity to the movie theater, they wanted a seamless connection between the two while ensuring the food court retained its own distinct identity.

This project was really hard for me, as it was the first large area of a project that I had to complete entirely on my own. We showcased three options, and mine was chosen to be developed further. Being in meetings with the clients for the first time was incredibly enriching and exciting, and being able to present my ideas and solutions for the space made the experience even more enjoyable.
Alongside this, I had the chance to design the atrium, the entrance of the cinema, Magic Planet, and part of the community center, as the clients really liked my ideas and felt listened to and heard. This gave me much more trust in what I was doing. Thanks to this project, I was able to prove my ability to work independently under pressure, which earned me greater responsibility and trust within the company. This led me to design more, having superiors agree with my decisions without double checking and even guide and manage some juniors.
