Quiddya Royal Overlook is an exclusive, fully privatized building designed for Royals and VIPs to experience the thrill of the new F1 Grand Prix.

I was lucky enough to be part of this project from the very beginning, working alongside some of the most talented people on our team to bring this incredible space to life. Since this project came towards the end of my internship, I had the amazing opportunity to take on a lot of responsibility and have real input in the design. Under the guidance of my senior, I got to design the VIP Overlook—the room where guests watch the race—as well as the Royal Overlook. On top of that, I designed custom F1-inspired chairs for both overlooks, worked on the press room, a section of the Royal Entrance, and even the office of the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. I was beyond excited to contribute so much to the project, but the most thrilling part for me was designing custom furniture for my two favorite spaces.

For the design itself, we followed the architect’s vision, which was inspired by the surrounding nature. "Swift movement and unstoppable power, these two forces amplify the energy and thrill of Formula One racing." Each area—Royal, VIP, and General, was influenced by a different natural element: the sky, the desert, and the wadi. We also focused on creating an incredible nighttime atmosphere, adding a virtual reality/video game-inspired vibe to make the experience even more immersive after dark.
